Trisha Krishnan faces backlash for calling Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal', a 'cult' movie; netizens say 'She was lecturing about woman's dignity a week ago only'

Actress Trisha Krishnan recently faced massive backlash for calling the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal', a 'cult' movie. While giving her take, the actress took to her Instagram account and shared the film's poster with a note that read, 'One word-cult! Pppppppaaaaaahhhhhhh' followed by a face with a peeking eye, face exhaling, and clapping hands emojis. However, soon after she dropped this post, a section of unimpressed netizens started criticizing the actress. One said, 'She was lecturing about women's dignity a week ago only no?', another wrote, '' 'She is the one who said .. I don't believe in feminism, I believe in equality'. However, a few fans came out in support of her and penned comments like 'She knows the difference between fantasy and reality' and 'A film must be consumed as a film.' Meanwhile, amid this heavy criticism, Trisha soon deleted her post, but its screengrabs are going viral on social media. Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' has taken the box office by storm, garnering immense love from movie buffs. 'Kabir Singh' famed Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial has already surpassed the 200-crore mark just within three days of its release, turning out to be a massive hit.
