'Batting wasn't easy': GT coach Parthiv Patel praises LSG's Nicholas Pooran

Following Gujarat Titans’ six-wicket loss to Lucknow Super Giants, GT batting coach Parthiv Patel defended his team’s performance, stating the pitch slowed down as the ball aged, making batting increasingly difficult. "Batting wasn’t easy as the game progressed," he said. Patel also lauded Nicholas Pooran’s form, calling his high strike rate a result of "low-risk, conventional cricket" backed by relentless practice. "Success doesn’t come just by showing up — it’s all about hard work," he emphasised. On the bowling front, he supported his team’s performers, saying, "There’s no concern; form is returning, and it only takes one game to turn it around."
