J&K: Indian Soldier Martyred In Fierce Udhampur Gunfight As Army Hunts For Pahalgam's 'Butchers'

Just two days after the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed yet another deadly confrontation. A fierce encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Dudu Basantgarh area of Udhampur district. One elite Para SF commando was martyred in action, while two others were injured during the intense gunfight. Acting on intelligence inputs, Indian forces launched a search operation which escalated into a full-scale encounter. The area has been completely cordoned off, and additional troops have been rushed in to neutralize the militants.
