Major case filed against Kim Sae Ron's attorney amid legal battle with Kim Soo Hyun

The case surrounding Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun grows more complex as more allegations have come forth. In a new turn of events, attorney Boo Ji Seok, who is handling the high-profile case from Sae Ron’s end, is under fire as he has been sued for alleged misconduct.
On a recent advancement of the case, it was found that attorney Ji Seok is in the middle of a whistleblower complaint which has been filed with Korea’s Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. While the name of the person who filed the complaint has not been revealed, they have alleged that the attorney took part in unethical and allegedly illegal conduct of practice, according to reports from Pinkvilla.
The case specifically focuses on how the attorney is handling the family’s legal case against Kim Soo Hyun. The allegations against attorney Ji Seok also state that the man acted beyond his legal boundaries as an attorney and may have also shared sensitive and illicit materials with the public as well.
The person who has filed the claim has alleged that the attorney was directly a part of distributing and disseminating private information and photographs. The complaint shared that “As the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron’s family, Attorney Boo did more than provide legal advice. He actively disseminated the family’s claims and used his status as a lawyer to present false information as if it were verified fact. This abuse of legal authority warrants serious criticism.”
According to the person who filed the complaint, Ji Seok’s official statements in public were also false and were filled with false allegations. He made statements related to “grooming-related sexual abuse” against actor Kim Soo Hyun, which had no proof, and heavily tarnished the actor's reputation in the market.
These allegations are directly related to the previously filed cases against Kim Sae Ron’s family, a person who claims to be her aunt as well as a YouTuber online who has shared a lot of content against the actor regarding the case.
Previously, the actor’s agency had also filed cases against the aforementioned parties under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. This was with regard to the distribution of camera footage and other law violations.
