Paytm now allows users to download payment history in excel
Mumbai: Paytm has expanded its UPI statement download feature by introducing an Excel format alongside the existing PDF option, allowing users greater flexibility in managing expenses, tax filing, and financial planning. The feature, now available to all Paytm UPI users, enables seamless analysis of transactions and simplifies reconciliation with added details such as payment notes and tags.
Chartered accountants have found the Excel format useful for its detailed narration, making tax preparation easier. Users leveraging AI tools for financial insights also benefit from enhanced data analysis. The feature is accessible under the ‘Balance & History’ section of the Paytm app, allowing users to download statements for specific date ranges or entire financial years.
Paytm UPI users with linked bank accounts from Axis Bank (@ptaxis), Yes Bank (@ptyes), State Bank of India (@ptsbi), and HDFC Bank (@pthdfc) can select their preferred date range and download statements in a few clicks. The company said the update is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance user experience in digital payments and financial management.
In addition to UPI statement downloads, Paytm offers features like UPI Lite for small transactions, RuPay credit card linking for credit-based UPI payments, and auto-pay for recurring bill payments. Users can also link bank accounts, create UPI IDs, and conduct peer-to-peer transactions, reinforcing the platform’s role in digital financial services.
A Paytm spokesperson said, “As pioneers in mobile payments, we constantly strive to enhance our users’ experience with innovative solutions. With the introduction of UPI statement downloads in Excel format, we aim to provide flexibility for seamless financial management and analysis.” The feature is available on both Android and iOS, further expanding the platform’s digital banking offerings.
