Jatin appointedpresident ofUP Fencing Assn

Lucknow: Jatin Verma, a sports promoter from Lucknow, was unanimously elected the president of the UP Fencing Association at the annual general meeting of the association held at KD Singh Babu stadium on Tuesday.The post had become vacant following the resignation of outgoing president and BJP MLA Pankaj Singh. Senior sports administrator Abhijeet Sarkar was elected as the senior vice-president. Sarkar is also the senior vice-president of UP Olympic Association. Anandeshwar Pandey, secretary-general of the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association was the observer and regional sports officer Animesh Saxena represented the sports department.Secretary Youjin Pal provided details of training camps, district-level competitions and talent scouting programmes conducted during 2024-25.
