Actress
Darshana Banik, who keeps flying between cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad to shoot for films in B-town and also down south, has currently taken a break due to the rising COVID-19 cases across the country. She is in town and spending quality time at home with her family.
While speaking to ETimes, the actress said, “Of late, I’ve had a very tough schedule at work.
I had to manage time for different film shoots and also travel for work. I was in Bangladesh recently to shoot with
Shakib Khan for the film, Antaratma. Then I came back to Kolkata and wasn't well for a few days. So, I’m taking rest at home and not stepping out until absolutely necessary since the Covid situation is alarming.”
On the work front, Darshana is looking forward to a string of releases, some of which have been postponed due to the pandemic. “I’m a part of the film, Operation Sundarban, one of the most expensive films made in Bangladesh till date, which is slated to release in the coming month. Then there’s Antaratma (with Shakib Khan), Shororipu 2 and Pratighat. There’s also Mrigaya with Ankush Hazra on the list. The last leg of the shooting is still left. I am also doing director Pijush Sahar’s upcoming film. In
Bollywood, I am looking forward to the release of my debut film with
Emraan Hashmi, Ezra,” shared Darshana.
The actress has also shot for a
Telugu film, ‘Black’, starring
Aadi Saikumar and a Tamil film, ‘Yarrukum Anjael’.
