The vocalist of city-based band, The Grooverz, Kaustav Banerjee, is over the moon. Reason? One of his singles, which was written by Kaustav himself in the year 2011 and created by his band, is getting a lot of good response of late. The song, Poribyapto, was recomposed recently for an album Aprokashito 2, and is being lapped up by the music lovers of Kolkata. On asking Kaustav about what inspired him to pen this song, he said, “My inspiration for this song comes from an unfulfilled non-reciprocated love during my childhood. The reviews have been very encouraging till now. Many stalwarts from the music fraternity including Gabu da of band Lakkhichhara and Koushik da of band Prithibi and others have appreciated the song. Many other senior musicians have been very encouraging as well. We look forward towards more such overwhelming response.” The video of the song on
YouTube has reached a view of 3.2K till now and Kaustav is hopeful that the numbers will only increase by the day. Added Kaustav, “Love songs and songs that tell the story of unfulfilled love is always a hit with the audience. Poribyapto is one such song and I am hopeful that it will strike the right chord with the music lovers. We also plan to perform this song in our upcoming live concerts.”
