The building permit issued by the town of Westerly reveals plans to add a spacious new bedroom measuring approximately 16 by 24 feet, along with additional bathrooms to enhance the home's grandeur. Renovations will also include updates to an existing kitchen, though specifics about the design upgrades remain under wraps. The entire project, covering labor and materials, is estimated to cost $1.7 million. Fans have already spotted construction underway, with cranes and wooden frames visible near the house.
Swift purchased the mansion, known as Holiday House, in 2013 for $17.75 million. The sprawling 11,000-square-foot estate at 16 Bluff Avenue offers breathtaking ocean views and has been the site of her legendary Fourth of July parties. Over the years, the home has hosted celebrities, including her boyfriend Travis Kelce, NFL star Patrick Mahomes, and his wife Brittany Mahomes during a summer gathering.

The mansion is famously immortalized in Swift’s Grammy-winning 2020 album folklore. The song “the last great american dynasty” recounts the life of Rebekah Harkness, the previous owner of Holiday House, who was known for her eccentric lifestyle.
