Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri directed ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been welcomed with cinegoers. After a good opening of Rs 3.25 crore, the collections on day two have soared massively. With more screen added in mass pockets, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has earned Rs 8.25 crore nett on its second day, reports Boxofficeindia. ‘The Kashmir Files’ narrates the drama of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the Kashmir Insurgency.
The film has received great response from Gujarat / Saurashtra, East Punjab and Delhi / UP markets, which recorded a growth of 300 per cent on the second day. Mumbai circuit is leading the numbers, earning over Rs 3 crore nett on Saturday. ‘The Kashmir Files’ currently stands at a total of Rs 11.50 crore nett and is likely to earn big on Sunday too. Interestingly, this drama has managed to beat the collection of the Hindi dubbed version of Prabhas starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’.
Recently, the film’s director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, his wife and actress Pallavi Joshi, and producer Abhishek Agarwal, met Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, who appreciated the film. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers faced a petition which sought to ban ‘The Kashmir Files’, claiming that it is a "propaganda movie" to hurt the religious sentiments. However, the Bombay High Court had dismissed the petition and the movie released on its scheduled date of March 11. ‘The Kashmir Files’ stars Anupam Kher,
