Ajay Devgn reflects upon the shortcomings in Singham Again: 'Aage dhyaan rakhenge'
Ajay Devgn was last seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again'. While Bajirao Singham, is one of Ajay's most memorable characters, the new installment of the movie which had released in Diwali 2024, did not get the expected response. People thought that it was not as par as the first two installments of the movie. Ajay has now reacted to this feedback and the shortcomings of the movie.
He attended the Zee Real Heroes Awards 2025 and was asked about the reactions of the fans as many thought it was underwhelming and lacked the usual flair of the 'Singham' franchise. Reacting to it, Ajay said, "I think yeh reaction mujhe kaafi logon se aaya. Toh aage dhyaan rakhenge ki woh jo Singham ka feel tha – ghus ghus ke maarne ka – woh aage zaroor rahega (I think I received this feedback from many people. So, going forward, we will make sure that the essence of Singham — the intense, in-your-face action — will definitely be present)."
The expectations from 'Singham Again' where high as it had an ensemble cast which included Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. Thus, even the box office expectations from the movie were high. But it made slightly less than Rs 250 crore at the domestic box office. This is a good number but the budget of the movie was also high.
Meanwhile, it had clashed with 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' at the box office and that also could have affected its business. The Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit starrer eventually performed better.
