Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, and others are facing increased trouble after missing a hearing by the National Commission for Women (NCW). The NCW had issued a summon over the controversial remarks made on India’s Got Latent. The individuals were required to appear before the commission on February 17 but failed to attend, causing the issue to escalate further.
The NCW has decided to reschedule the hearing for Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, Balraj Ghai, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra after they failed to attend the initial session. According to a statement shared by ANI, the commission is reviewing the reasons provided by the individuals for their absence and has given them additional time to appear before the NCW.
Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, Tushar Poojari, and Saurabh Bothra must appear before the NCW on March 6. Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, and Balraj Ghai are scheduled for March 11.
The NCW statement mentioned that Ranveer Allahbadia requested a new hearing due to receiving death threats. Apurva Mukhija, who also received threats, asked to attend the hearing virtually. Her lawyer stated she would attend once the situation stabilizes.

Samay Raina, currently in the US, promised to appear once he returns to India. Jaspreet Singh and Balraj Ghai, also abroad, assured the commission they will cooperate when they come back. Ashish Chanchlani's absence was due to illness, with his lawyer informing the commission. Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra haven't responded to the summons and have been asked to appear.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell rejected Samay Raina's request for videoconferencing. Ranveer Allahbadia has been summoned by the Cyber Cell to appear on February 24. Meanwhile, all episodes related to the India’s Got Latent controversy have been removed from YouTube.
