M.G. Srinivas' 'Old Monk' came out in theatres this past Friday to great reception with both fans and critics alike praising the film. From its endearing, old-school charm to the central performances and direction, many facets have drawn praise and the entire team of 'Old Monk' is currently basking in the glory of this success. One such admirer of the film is actor-politician Ramya who, following a special screening, took to social media to laud M.G.

Srinivas' efforts and also heap praise on the film.
"From playing my younger brother in Just Math Mathalli to now acting & directing your own film, you’ve come a long way & I’m so happy for you @lordmgsrinivas Thank you for the special screening 🤗 I enjoyed the film. Please do watch Old Monk at a theatre near you- Laughs guaranteed," wrote Ramya in her tweet.

Having begun his career as a radio jockey, M.G. Srinivas grew in popularity for taking on the dual role of an actor and director with 'Srinivasa Kalyana' and following it up soon with the first installment of the 'Birbal Trilogy'. 'Old Monk' becomes his third venture as an actor-director and many have credited his central performances to be one of the main factors to the film's success.
