Dr Rajkumar is one of the legendary actors in the Kannada film industry. ‘Jeevana Chaitra’ was one of the best movies he acted in his career. Today, 28 years ago, the movie was released.
‘Jeevana Chaitra’ is a musical drama movie directed by Dorai - Bhagavan starring Rajkumar and Madhavi. The story was based on the Kannada novel ‘Vyapthi Prapthi’ written by Vishalakshi Dakshinamurthy.After a three years gap, Rajkumar made his re-entry into the industry through this movie, and it became one of the successful hits and was rulling for 375 days in theatres.
Rajkumar himself sung all the songs in this movie which was composed by Upendra Kumar. Another interesting fact is he won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer at the 40th National Film Awards. This movie was produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar.
The movie is about a rich boy who falls in love with poor girls and gets married and how the situation changes as the movie proceeds.
