Rahul Sadasivan wraps up Pranav Mohanlal’s horror thriller ‘NSS2’

Director Rahul Sadasivan has officially wrapped up shooting for his upcoming horror thriller, tentatively titled ‘NSS2’, starring Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role.

Completes production earlier than the originally planned schedule
The film, which commenced shooting in the last week of March 2025, has now completed production well ahead of its originally planned 40-day schedule. ‘Bramayugam’ team returns and the expectations are high
‘NSS2’ has generated significant buzz ever since it was announced, primarily because it marks the return of the highly acclaimed team behind Bramayugam, the Malayalam period horror film that turned into a cult classic.

Rahul Sadasivan, whose smart handling of horror elements and narrative structure earned Bramayugam both critical acclaim and box office success, reunites with key crew members for this new venture.
About the Pranav Mohanlal starrer
Set in Vadakara, Calicut, the filming took place under the lens of cinematographer Shehnad Jalal, whose work in Bramayugam was widely praised. The art direction is helmed by Jothish Shankar, who was also responsible for Mammootty’s ‘Bramayugam’s hauntingly memorable sets, while editing is by Shafique Mohammed Ali, maintaining the consistency of the creative team.
Although plot details remain tightly under wraps, expectations are high for ‘NSS2’, as it marks another attempt by Malayalam cinema to explore psychological and supernatural horror with depth and technical finesse.
