Popular Tamil producer Muralidharan passed away on Thursday (Dec 1) due to a heart attack. Superstar Kamal Haasan, who has worked with the producer for 'Anbe Sivam' has expressed his grief on Muralidharan’s sudden demise.
Kamal Haasan reminisced about the 'Anbe Sivam' days and extended his condolences to Muralidharan’s family.
Muralidharan suffered a cardiac arrest when he visited a temple in Kumbakonam and was admitted to a private hospital nearby.
But the 65-year-old producer didn't respond to the treatment and breathed his last around 1:30 PM on Thursday (Dec 1). The untimely demise of Muralidharan has left Kollywood celebrities and fans devastated.
The late producer has delivered several popular Tamil films including 'Bhagavathy', 'Anbe Sivam', 'Pudhupettai', and 'Silambattam', among others. His last outing was 'Sakalakala Vallavan' starring
Jayam Ravi in the lead role.
A few weeks back, during an interview, Muralidharan lauded Kamal Haasan and also spoke about working with him. Muralidharan confessed that Kamal Haasan starrer 'Anbe Sivam' was a box office failure and divulged that Kamal Haasan helped the production house. He revealed that Kamal Haasan only took half the remuneration he was supposed to get and asked the producer to repay the balance only if the film is successful. But the film didn't go well at the box office, and Kamal Haasan didn't ask for the remaining money.
