'Maaveeran' box office day 4: Sivakarthikeyan starrer crosses Rs 50 crore mark

Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Maaveran' was released in theatres on July 14. The fantasy action drama has received a lot of positive reviews and it is now running well in theatres. The film has successfully passed the first weekend and it has reportedly made a gross of Rs 50 crore at the box office in four days.
The movie on day and day 2 of its release made Rs 10 crore each day and the rest 30 crore was divided over the weekend and Monday, grossing it to make Rs 50 crore in the box office in the first four days.
Apart from Tamil Nadu, 'Maaveran' released as 'Mahaveerudu' in Telugu is also running well in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The movie has Sivakarthikeyan playing the role of cartoonist and he lives with his family in a slum. However, he gains strength and will power after he fails to take his own life and in an attempt to get the house promised by the government, the actor acts according to an inner voice that guides him. Directed by Madonne Ashwin, the movie stars Sivakarthikeyan, Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Sunil and Yogi Babu. The music for the movie is composed by Bharath Shankar.
