'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' gets an OTT release date

Silambarasan's 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' was released in theatres last September, and the film turned out to be a huge hit. The makers declared the film a profitable venture and it grossed double its budget. Now, the latest report is that 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' is to stream on OTT this Diwali. 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' is completing a month this 15th, but the makers are yet to announce the film's OTT release date.There is a reason behind the delay in the film's OTT release as it is planned to stream on OTT from October 21 for the occasion of Diwali.
'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' is still holding a few screens in Tamil Nadu amidst the 'Ponniyin Selvan' hurricane, and the film is expected to reach Rs 100 crores at the box office. Owing to the film's success, the makers have presented a luxurious car for Silambarasan and a superbike for director Gautham Menon.
Directed by Gautham Menon, 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' features Silambarasan and Siddhi Idnani in lead roles with Neeraj Madhav, Jaffer, and Appukutty among others in supporting roles. AR Rahman scored the music for the film, and his music boosted the gangster drama. 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' will also have a sequel to follow as the director wishes to present a brief expansion on the life of a gangster.
The Mallipoo song composed by AR Rahman in the film has been a huge hit, and the video song has been receiving a tremendous response on the video streaming platform.
