Vishnu Vishal to face off against Selvaraghavan in an action thriller
Even as his Gatta Kusthi is nearing completion, Vishnu Vishal has begun work on his next film, an action thriller titled A.A.R.Y.A.N. The film, directed by debutant Praveen K, a former associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon, will see the actor playing a cop again, after Ratsasan.
“Though this film is also a police investigative story, with Vishnu Vishal in the role of a cop, it will not be like Ratsasan at all.
1x1 polls
I have been pitching some stories to Vishnu since 2018. In fact, the first story that I narrated to him was not a police story. During one of our discussions, I told him this storyline, and he was excited by it and decided to produce it himself, too. It will be a proper action thriller that revolves around events that happen over five days. Vishnu will be seen playing an IPS-rank police officer,” informs the director, who had worked under Gautham Vasudev Menon from 2010, and has written and co-directed a few web series with Manu Anand, the director of Vishnu’s previous release FIR.
Shraddha Srinath and Vani Bhojan have been roped in to play the female leads and Praveen says that their roles will not be that of the conventional romantic interest. Director Selvaraghavan, who has been on a roll of late with acting projects, will be playing the film’s antagonist.
Sam CS will be scoring the music for this film, which will be edited by San Lokesh, who had also worked on Ratsasan. Newcomer Vishnu Subash will be handling the cinematography. The director tells us that the shoot will start on September 5, and the team is planning to wrap up the entire film in a single schedule.
