How balanced diet help improve quality of sleep and improve productivity

Workplace stress is exacerbated by climate change and rapid technological advancements. Companies can address this by investing in technology that allows for detailed, balanced menu planning to meet dietary recommendations. A healthier diet, combined with proper exercise, positively impacts productivity by improving sleep quality and overall well-being.
How balanced diet help improve quality of sleep and improve productivity
Workplace stress is a key challenge in today's environment, given the pace of change that the planet is seeing as it had never seen before. Climate change is making tropical regions warmer, impacting focus, productivity, and health. Meanwhile, technology is evolving at breakneck speed, forcing employees to constantly upskill or risk falling behind. This dual pressure—physical stress from climate shifts and mental stress from technological change—is taking a toll on individuals at work.
Countering that the best tool would be technology and ensuring that technology is harnessed in planning menus by incorporating both calorific content and other necessary nutrient requirements into the menu planning. That is why companies which invest in tools that enable menus to be planned vis-a-vis the dietary recommendations for food at work, are likely to be better placed in addressing diet related requirements of employees. Of course, diet in itself is not sufficient, the need to exercise and remain fit can never be taken away.

But a balanced diet with a healthy lifestyle is critical and it can only be achieved, not just by adding a few avocados or having a kiwi fruit as a fad, but by doing detailed menu planning which looks at combinations of staples and vegetables alongside lentils, so that the nutritive value and the calorific value are both balanced. Once that happens and the quantum of food consumption is regulated, it is natural that, it will positively influence sleep habits.\\

The big advantage, India, as a country has, is that it largely consumes fresh food, which enables healthier digestion and ensures better breakdown of nutrients in the digestion process. This, in turn has an impact on the quality of sleep, because if you are eating healthier, you will sleep healthier.

There is enough research to show that disturbed sleep or inadequate sleep impacts productivity, just as there is enough research to show that a balanced diet is key to maintaining good health, which in turn again impacts your sleep habits. It is a fact that an unhealthy person is unlikely to have a good quality of sleep, and several factors which can underpin it. But at this point in time, as an organization, our priority is to ensure that we use planning tools to build healthier menus and ensure that these healthier menus are consumed in a manner which correlates with the dietary requirements of people in certain age brackets.
Overconsuming even healthy food can be unhealthy. And that’s the key challenge—how do we consume the right amount while still eating healthy?

This is the area where we work most with our clients. We focus on delivering the right messaging to the consumers of our food—employees at work. At the same time, we build healthier menu patterns within the available resources. Our goal is to help employees stay productive by maintaining good health.
