The Sanskrit word Yugadhyaksh (युगाध्यक्ष) is a profound and spiritual title that holds deep philosophical and cultural significance. It is a compound word made up of:
  • Yuga (युग) – Meaning "era," "epoch," or "age." In Hindu cosmology, time is divided into four main yugas: Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga. Each yuga represents a different phase of moral and spiritual evolution.
  • Adhyaksh (ाध्यक्ष) – Meaning "leader," "overseer," or "one who presides."
Thus, Yugadhyaksh translates to "The Lord or Overseer of an Era" or "The Supreme Authority of Time."
In Hindu philosophy, the term Yugadhyaksh is often associated with Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna, as they are believed to oversee and guide the cosmic order in different ages. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 4, Verse 7-8) mentions that whenever righteousness declines, the Supreme Being manifests to restore balance, reinforcing the concept of Yugadhyaksh as the divine force that governs time.
Yugadhyaksh is a powerful title denoting supreme leadership over an era, both in a spiritual and worldly sense. It signifies a guiding force that steers humanity towards righteousness and progress.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar is the royal scion of the Wadiyar dynasty. He is currently serving as a Member of Parliament of Mysore since 2024. The 32 year old is married to Trishika Kumari Devi, who belongs to the Dungarpur royal family from Rajasthan. The couple has an elder son named Aadyaveer Narasimharaja Wadiyar, who was born in December 2017.
