Who is Errol Musk? All about his scandalous past and controversial affair with stepdaughter

Errol Musk has been making headlines of late for criticizing his son billionaire Elon Musk’s absent parenting style. Though the Musk name is familiar to all living on this planet, not many know about its patriarch Errol Musk.
Who Is Errol Musk?
Powerful people come from powerful places. Elon Musk's father Errol too comes from a family, who weren't afraid to dream. Errol's parents were the first to ever fly from South Africa to Australia in a single-engine airplane. Well, excellence runs in the family. His grandmother too broke barriers by becoming the first-ever chiropractor in Canada.
Errol Musk is a South African engineer. He credits his engineering skills to his father. "I'm naturally good at engineering that's because I inherited it from my father. What's very difficult for others is easy for me. For a while, I thought things were so obvious that everyone must know this," he earlier told Rolling Stone. "
He is also a businessman and one-time politician. He was elected to the Pretoria City Council in his native South Africa, in 1972.
Errol Musk's family
Errol Musk has three children (Elon, Kimbal, and Tosca) with his first wife MODEL Maye Haldeman. Talking to Business Insider South Africa earlier, Errol said, "I screwed up the marriage, I was totally responsible. It didn't work out too well in the end. My [former] wife doesn't speak to me, even when we're together, she won't speak to me, so we haven't spoken to one other for 37 years. She won't speak to me or engage me if we're in the same room — which we have been often."
Errol has also admitted to having affairs, however, his former wife says the problems were beyond infidelity. "Everybody I knew called him 'the Pig' because he treated me so badly in public. And I was too scared to tell anyone [about his violence]. Like every abused woman, I was embarrassed, and I knew I had made a mistake, you know? ... He told me over and over that I was stupid, ugly, boring," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2019.
After his divorce from Maye, he was briefly with Sue. Later in the 1990s at the age of 45, he married Heide Bezuidenhout, a 25-year-old woman, whom he once described as "one of the best-looking women I've ever seen in my life".
Heide Bezuidenhout had a 4-year-old daughter, Jana, when she got married to Errol. Errol and Heide share two children - Alexandra and Asha Rose. They got divorced in 2004.
After his divorce from Heide Bezuidenhout, Errol Musk was romantically involved with her daughter and his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout. The controversial relationship surely raised eyebrows and Errol once said, "The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce. If I could have another child I would. I can't see any reason not to."
Errol has two children with Jana - Elliot 'Rushi' Rush, and a daughter.

According to Errol, he has never considered Jana as his stepdaughter, as she primarily grew up separate from the Musks.

Jana connected with Errol, after she had a bad breakup. "We were lonely, lost people. One thing led to another — you can call it God's plan or nature's plan," Errol said. Two months after Jana got pregnant, he assumed it was her ex-boyfriend's only to find it later, that it was his.
Elon Musk has an acrimonious relationship with his father
Errol Musk shares a strained relationship with his son Elon Musk. While talking to Rolling Stone earlier, Elon Musk has called his father 'a terrible human being' and 'evil.' "You have no idea about how bad. Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done. Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done … It's so terrible, you can't believe it," Elon said.
