New Marvel Rivals exploit allows Jeff and Doctor Strange to trap enemies outside the map

A new bug in Marvel Rivals lets Jeff and Doctor Strange trap enemies in an unplayable map area using their ultimate and portal abilities. This exploit, found in specific maps, leaves trapped heroes with no escape. Developers are yet to address the bug, with temporary workarounds involving disconnecting from the game. Increased vigilance for such game-breaking glitches is expected.

Players have discovered a new exploit in Marvel Rivals that allows Jeff and Doctor Strange to use their ultimate and portal abilities to trap enemies in a closed unescapable area of the map. This game-changing exploit is known to work only on two maps so far, Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya. With a 37-hero roster, Marvel Rivals players constantly hunting for powerful team-up combos and strategies to win more games. However, it often results in the discovery of game-breaking exploits and bugs, like the recent Rocket Raccoon exploit that let him reset the cooldown timer of his team-up ability, Ammo Invention.
This article will discuss the newly surfaced Jeff: The Land Shark and Doctor Strange exploit in Marvel Rivals.

How does the Jeff and Doctor Strange exploit in Marvel Rivals work?

This new Marvel Rivals exploit works by using Jeff’s ultimate ability ‘It’s Jeff’ and Doctor Strange’s ‘PENTAGRAM OF FARALLAH’ portal ability. This exploit works only in the Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya maps. First, Doctor Strange initiates his portal from spawn and sets up the first portal exit at a specific point on the map. He then waits for Jeff to trigger his ultimate ability and gulp as many enemies as he can. Doctor Strange then immediately places down his portal entry near Jeff where he then proceeds to throw the enemies through the portal.
The enemies end up in a closed space outside of the playable map area. Doctor Strange who was sitting at spawn all this time, quickly switches heroes to make the portal go away, effectively removing the only way out of the closed area. Since there is no team or self-damage to kill yourself and respawn, it's impossible to get out of this area while still being in the game.

How to counter Jeff and Doctor Strange's exploit in Marvel Rivals?

Being a recent discovery, NetEase Games hasn’t addressed this Jeff and Doctor Strange exploit in Marvel Rivals as of writing. Seeing how they fixed the Peni Parker Arachno-Mines bug in record-breaking time, it's only a matter of time, before they will look into this game-changing bug and fix it.
For the time being, the only way to escape the closed area of the map is to disconnect from the lobby by quitting the game altogether. When you launch the game back up, you’ll respawn at your spawn zone and get right back into the action. However, it might be too late to win the match, as the opposition team will get a significant lead.
