Speaking in the show of “The Rich Eisen” Ex-NFL QB throws statements regarding Patrick Mahomes under the bus after Chiefs' huge humiliation and loss after the
Super Bowl.
Kurt Warner, while making his statement against the Chiefs offense said, “Well, I think it was very early in the game. Just kind of watching the approach that they had and looking at Patrick—he didn’t look to be on his game. He was missing things that he normally hits. And then, in the back of my mind, I felt like it could go this way to some degree
.”
It was not the end of the story, Warner further added, “Well, it shouldn’t mess with them at all. I mean, if that happens, especially with what Philly likes to do—you know, they like to play what we call “quarters coverage” or Cover 4, four deep, three under, and then rush four guys—going into this game, I would’ve been licking my chops, thinking, “I love playing against Cover 4.”
“I did not coach good enough” Andy Reid makes big admission as humiliation grew after Super Bowl
While addressing a press conference Andy Reid said, “Their defensive line did a nice job.” “Who is this guy
?” “
I liked it,” Warner grinned, his Midwestern charm dialed to 11. “That was the story—some nobody stocking groceries in Iowa suddenly slinging touchdowns? C’mon, that’s straight outta Rocky,” he added.
Reid continued by saying, “Too many turnovers, too many penalties against a good football team. Can’t do that.” The comment seems that Andy Reid was not impressed with the performance. In the second quarter, DeAndre Hopkins was covered by a Philly defender whereas Cooper DeJean got the Eagles back.
Throwing light on the game Patrick Mahomes had overall three turnovers and was sacked 6 times before the third quarter. The performance of the Eagles differed as they bagged a 3-4 defense. With all these, Reid made an honest admission of him not being a great coach. He said, “We didn’t really play well in any of the phases.” “I didn’t coach good enough
.”
With this note, Andy Reid believes in strengthening and building his teams through the trenches. Sadly, the Eagles were wiser enough to use Reid’s tactics which he taught the general manager of Philadelphia Howie Roseman.
