Mitch Marner, the alternate captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs and one of the most talented players in the NHL, has been in the news as he spoke about the star player of the NHL, Sidney Crosby, Recently, Mitch Marner spoke about being teammates with Sidney Crosby at the 4 Nations Face Off to TSN’s reporter Mark Masters but fans think he is “obsessed” with Sidney Crosby.

As per TSN’s reporter, Mark Masters, Mitch Marner said, "It doesn't matter what line or where you're from, he takes time out of his day & hangs around & talks. We had a couple team dinners that he was very generous with. Just his generosity [stands out]."

However, fans are convinced that Mitch Marner is “obsessed” with Sidney Crosby. Even before Mitch Marner’s statement on Sidney Crosby, fans had posted about his interactions with the star player.
A few months ago, a video of Mitch Marner and Sidney Crosby went viral on X where Mitch is holding back Sidney Crosby from scoring a goal. A fan wrote, “mitch marner grabby hands IMMEDIATELY going for sid. least subtle man in the world 😭”

A fan commented, “one arm around the chest, the other around the waist is crazy work”, while another fan joked, “sid please just one hug”.
As per Pittsburgh Penguins, in 2023, Mitch Marner had again opened up about Sidney Crosby and he said, “For how talented and skilled he is, and for what he does on that ice, he’s just a super down to earth human being and something that you appreciate from someone."
A fan had then commented, ”Marner is fan boy out… trying his best not to lose it… love it”.
