Shubhankar Bhowmick’s upcoming film ‘Alokkhye Ritwik’, a biopic of Ritwik Ghatak, sees singer-actor Silajit Majumder playing the iconic filmmaker. The film which promises to reveal many untold stories of Ritwik will also see Paayel Sarkar playing Ritwik Ghatak's wife Surama Ghatak. Shotting for the film has already started in South Kolkata.

It has been 15 years, since ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ was launched. The romantic television drama, starring Rishi Kaushik and Aparajita Ghosh, as the lead pair, was an instant hit. As the show completed 15 years, Aparajita aka Hiya took a walk down memory lane, and cherished the beautiful moments she had spent while working for the show.
