A business class passenger on Air India’s Delhi-Bangkok flight urinated on a co-passenger before landing on April 9, 2025. Air India confirmed the incident and said the crew followed procedures. The victim declined to file a complaint, and an internal panel will decide on further action. This follows a similar incident in 2022.

Air India staff, including top management, will travel in economy class for domestic flights from April 1, 2025. Senior pilots will follow in June. The District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission in Hathras has ordered vistara to refund Rs 34,048 to a student, Garima Mangal, for unconfirmed tickets and imposed a Rs 20,000 fine. Despite online payment, her tickets remained unconfirmed, leading to the consumer court intervention.

United Airlines has entered into a new alliance agreement with vistara that will be effective from Fall 2019 (September 23). vistara had expressed interest in AI divestment. Once it did bid for the airline it was clear that the airline will grow organically. The airline has been in talks with both Boeing and Airbus for fleet expansion order for a while now and the order is ready to be announced.

vistara, a joint venture of Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines has finally announced its debut on international routes with the launch of flights to Singapore from Delhi and Mumbai starting August 6 and 7, respectively. The airline has announced a launch price of about Rs 21,000 on Mumbai-Singapore-Mumbai route and about Rs 22,000 on return flight from Delhi.
