15 years of Ekhane Akash Neel: Aparajita Ghosh walks down memory lane; cherishes Hiya and Dr. Ujaan's love story

Ekhane Akash Neel, starring Aparajita Ghosh and Rishi Kaushik, as the lead pair, was launched in 2008. The television show turned out to be a massive hit on Bengali television. Till now it is considered as one of the all-time favourites of television viewers. 15 years back, it was launched on September 8, the show was launched on a prime Bengali general entertainment channel. Although ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ ended its journey in 2010, audience still love protagonists Hiya and Dr. Ujaan.
The love story of the couple, who were completely opposite by nature, managed to win the hearts of Bengali audience almost instantly after show’s launch. As ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ completes 15 years of its launch, it brought many beautiful memories back, especially for those who were associated with the romantic drama. And one of them is none other than actress Aparajita, aka Hiya. The actress took a walk down the memory lane and recalled all the beautiful moments she had spent with ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ family.

Sharing a series of old photos on social media, Aparajita, took a stroll and cherished all those memories, right from show’s launch, celebrating new milestones with her co-stars, till the last day of the shoot. The photos are from the wrap up shoot of ‘Ekhane Akash Neel’ and features Sourav Chatterjee, Naina Palit, Sahana Sen, Rishi Kaushik, Saswati Guhathakurata and many others.
The photo shared by Aparajita not only made her former co-stars nostalgic, but also tickled the memories for those viewers who were ardent fans of Ekhane Akash Neel. Rishi and Aparajita’s reel chemistry was the USP of the show and made the duo, one of the all-time favourite jodis of tele viewers on Bengali small screen.
The show was somehow inspired by ‘Sanjivani’, a very popular Hindi medical drama, which used to be aired during 2002-2005. The Bengali one was equally hit. It featured many eminent artists from Bengali entertainment industry along with young artists who are now big stars. The star cast included, Dr. B. D.
