Alisha Parveen, who is currently playing Anupama's (Rupali Ganguly) adopted daughter Rahi in the show Anupamaa is no longer a part of the show. The actress, who entered the show two months ago when it took a generation leap, confirmed the news.
Alisha said, "It is shocking and disappointing. I am not sure what exactly happened and why I am being replaced! Today was my last day on the set of Anupamaa. It was a fantastic opportunity and everybody loves my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But I have no clue why I was suddenly replaced."

Alisha played the role of Rahi, adopted daughter of Anupama and Anuj (Gaurav Khanna) in the show. The actress added, "I had a meeting yesterday and was told about this decision. I am completely clueless but it happens sometimes. I will focus on my future projects now."
Alisha made her debut with the TV show Gathbandhan and acted in films like Maatr and Talwar.
The current track in Anupamaa focusses on how Prem (Shivam Khajuria) confesses his love for Rahi but she denies having feelings for him. Prem is dejected and he resigns from his chef job in Anupama's rasoi and leaves the entire family. On the other hand, Rahi starts missing Prem and finally realises that she is in love with Prem. And Mahi, who also loves Prem tells Anupama how she wants to marry him. The show took a generation leap two months ago and many actors exited the show. Rupali Ganguly and Alpana Buch continued to play the central roles after the leap.
