Supriya Shukla, the popular maa - Sarla Arora of Kumkum Bhagya and later in its spin-off Kundali Bhagya, has finally quit Kundali Bhagya. The actress had told BT in October that she will take a break for some time. But, the actress has bid adieu to the show now.
She said, "Sarla's role was meaty and I enjoyed playing it for eight years. I had already quit Kumkum Bhagya four years ago and continued with Kundali Bhagya. But, after taking a break for a few months, I have finally decided to now exit from the show. I realised that I had done everything as Sarla in the show and there was not much left for me to do. The production house is like family and they will offer me something interesting in the future."
Her track in another show Molkki too has almost come to an end. "I might have one scene left in the show. But, otherwise, my track in the show is over," she said
Supriya, who is currently shooting for a web series, says people wrongly assumed that she was doing three shows. She said, "I wanted to clarify that my work in Kumkum Bhagya got over many years back and now I am no longer a part of Kundali and Molkki, too. I would not want people to think that I am busy doing three shows," she said.
She is now hoping to bag some interesting roles on TV this year. "I did a web show, but television has given me everything. I am one of those lucky actors, who has got many meaty roles in television and in future, too, I would love to do varied roles. Of course, I will play mother's roles but even that comes with many shades," she said.
