Actress
Rashami Desai, who recently played a cameo in Wagle Ki Duniya has been actively doing regional films as well. Talking about it, she says, "Doing regional films gives me a wider space to explore more as an actor and in current times that space has some great stories to tell. I have bigger dreams and I am working towards fulfilling them one by one."
She adds, "I did a regional Gujarati film and a web show, Hisab Barabar. Both received a lot of love, so I want to work on projects like these. And I feel there is no difference for me in any mediums or languages as far as the content is interesting. That's what matters the most for any actor and me as well."
The actress rose to fame after her stint on TV with shows like Uttaran, Dil Se Dil Tak and Ishq Ka Rang Safed. When asked why she doesn't take up more work on TV, she says, "I have different plans and dreams for myself, but they don't always work out the way we want. So, I have been patient with my work, and when good work comes up in the middle, I take it up. One thing I like about my journey is that whatever work I have taken up, people have loved my character. After a long time, I got to do something good on TV in Wagle Ki Duniya."
She may be acting on TV after a while, but the medium has always been close to her heart. In an earlier interview, she said, "TV is a medium I have always loved and respected. So when a role like this came up, I wanted to take it up."
