Lexus India has confirmed that it is set to reopen bookings for its flagship SUV, the LX 500d, after a temporary halt. The luxury SUV, last priced at Rs 2.84 crore, ex-showroom, is expected to come with a slight price hike, including new features such as ADAS and connected car technology.

Powering the LX 500d is a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine, producing 304 ponies and a 700 Nm of torque. This powerhouse is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The SUV can achieve 100 kmph from a standstill in just eight seconds and has a top speed governed at 210 kmph.

The model stretches the measuring tape to 5,100 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, thus becoming the longest model in Lexus’ India lineup. Inside, the LX 500d offers a dual-tone interior with features such as 1 12.3 inch infotainment screen, 8-inch driver’s display, four-zone climate zone, 64-colour ambient lighting, electronically adjustable seats for both rows, wireless charger and more. Besides that, it also gets ventilated seats and a sunroof.
The new 500d will feature Safety System+ 3, which brings ADAS capabilities. The SUV is packed with 10 airbags, ABS, vehicle stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It also offers multi-terrain driving modes, including Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, Rock, and Auto. At the recent Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the LX 500d attracted significant attention, the company said in a statement.
