LIC hopeful of health insurance deal by month-end Mumbai

MUMBAI: LIC is in final stages of discussions to acquire a stake in a health insurance company, though it will not be a majority stake, said CEO Siddhartha Mohanty on Tuesday. He said a deal would be finalised by the end of March. "Going forward, all financial solutions will be integrated under one roof. LIC is currently in life insurance and defined benefit health insurance products. Our discussions are at an advanced stage," he said.
