Ahmedabad: A first-year student of chartered accountancy suffered a severe head injury and went into a coma on Tuesday morning after falling from a moving AMTS bus. Inspector Alka Thakor of B Division Traffic Police said the accident occurred at around 8am near Gujarat University.
Swati Joshi, a 17-year-old CA student from Radhanpur in Banaskantha, lives in a PG accommodation in Navrangpura. On Tuesday, she boarded a bus to reach her coaching centre at Vijay Crossroads but forgot to alight at the destination. So, she hurriedly tried to get down from the moving bus and fell, suffering severe skull injuries.
She was rushed to a hospital, but did not gain consciousness until late evening. tnn
