TDO in dock over encroachments

Ahmedabad: At the town planning committee meeting on Thursday, the issue of removing encroachments in the Bhadra Plaza area near Lal Darwaza was discussed. The Estate TDO department of the Central Zone was not taking action to remove these encroachments. Consequently, the committee issued a reprimand proposal against Chintan Engineer, deputy TDO of Central Zone.
Officials said that despite additional staff and a new SOP being provided to the Estate TDO department, they were not acting on removing the encroachments. TNN
