Woman crushed by truck near Bopal

AHMEDABAD: Bopal resident Ramila Thakore, 35, was run over by twelve-wheeled trailer near Bopal Circle on Thursday afternoon. Ramila, her husband Mahendra Thakore and their 8-year-old daughter Nyna were returning home on a bike when the incident took place.
Police sources said enraged by growing number of fatal accidents at Bopal circle and at the turn towards Iskon Circle on SP Ring Road, locals set the truck on fire. The driver of the truck managed to escape from the spot and later in the evening surrendered before Bopal police.

Thakore family lives at Meghmani farm in Bopal. The husband and wife where returning after picking up Nyna from Hadwad, where she studies at a boarding school.
“The impact of the accident was so strong that Mahendra and his daughter Nyna were thrown on the other side of the road while Ramila was crushed under the rear wheel of the trailer” said Sola police offcials.
