PMC proposes super-specialty hosp in Naini
Prayagraj: The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) has proposed constructing a super-specialty hospital in Naini. Spanning over an area of 1.3 hectares, this hospital aims to not only enhance the region's healthcare infrastructure but also provide high-quality medical services to locals.
"The hospital, proposed to run on a PPP model, would be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, leveraging the latest medical technologies and expertise to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. This ambitious project was discussed in detail during a high-level stakeholder meeting held in Delhi recently," said municipal commissioner Chandra Mohan Garg.
He said "The primary objective of the meeting was to deliberate on the construction and infrastructure development of the super-speciality hospital. The discussions focused on several key areas, including the hospital's construction, its operational models, lease tenure, potential expansion plans, and revenue generation strategies."
A detailed analysis was carried out to evaluate the financial and governance models for the project, with an emphasis on exploring public-private partnerships (PPP), phased infrastructure improvements, and diversified investment strategies, he added.
The hospital would be designed to cater to a wide range of medical needs, offering advanced specialities, such as cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology and other essential medical disciplines.
It would incorporate the latest medical technologies, including cutting-edge diagnostic tools and treatment facilities, ensuring that patients receive the best possible healthcare. In addition, the hospital would be equipped with top-tier medical experts from across the country.
Garg said the PPP model would not only provide access to the latest medical technologies and expertise but also ensure the long-term viability and success of the hospital.
"This project represents a significant moment in our efforts to strengthen healthcare accessibility in Prayagraj. The establishment of this super-specialty hospital would elevate the standard of medical services in the region and ensure that the residents of Prayagraj have access to quality healthcare facilities without having to travel to distant cities," said Garg.
In addition to the operational and infrastructural aspects of the hospital, the meeting also focused on its long-term financial sustainability.
The project is expected to be completed in several phases, with the first phase focusing on the hospital's basic infrastructure, including key medical departments and essential facilities. The second phase would see the expansion of specialised departments and introduction of advanced technologies and services.
One of the most promising features of the hospital is its focus on using the latest technologies in medicine, from robotic surgeries and telemedicine services to advanced imaging and diagnostic tools.
