Sunny highlighted that an actor’s role is to stay true to the character and trust the director’s vision. He praised the advancements in technology, noting that Indian cinema is moving beyond a ‘good enough’ mindset and striving for perfection, with VFX now making even grand concepts believable. He recalled being taken aback while watching Superman and spoke about how technology has since evolved to make everything possible in the Indian film industry.
He went on to express deep enthusiasm about collaborating with Namit Malhotra, who is leading a global special effects company. “I am very excited about Ramayana, because Namit (Malhotra) is doing it, and he is currently heading special effects companies all over the world. He is doing a great job and is the right person to make Ramayana. He wants to make it believable because he believes in the story. I’ve known him for years, and I think he has got the right film to do so,” he said.

Taking on the revered character of Lord Hanuman is no easy feat, and Sunny acknowledged the gravity of the role. When asked about when he would begin filming for Ramayana, Sunny kept things under wraps, simply saying, “I can’t talk about all that.”
'Ramayana' is slated for a grand theatrical release during the Diwali weekend in 2026. The film also features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. Sunny will portray the powerful character of Lord Hanuman in the mythological epic. He is also gearing up for the release of 'Border 2' and 'Gadar 3'.
