Sikandar box office collection Day 15: Salman Khan starrer earns just Rs 1.3 crore in third weekend

Salman Khan's action film Sikandar is experiencing a significant box office decline, earning only Rs 1.3 crore in its third weekend after a strong opening. The film's collections sharply dropped, with daily earnings failing to cross Rs 1 crore. The release of Sunny Deol's Jaat, a Punjabi action thriller, is considered a primary factor diverting audiences and impacting Sikandar's performance.
Sikandar box office collection Day 15: Salman Khan starrer earns just Rs 1.3 crore in third weekend
Salman Khan's action-packed drama Sikandar is rapidly losing its grip on the box office. The film saw its collections dipping sharply as it entered its third weekend. Despite a thunderous opening, the film has now slowed to a crawl, earning just around Rs 1.3 crore over its third weekend.
On its third Friday, Sikandar managed to bring in an estimated Rs 30 lakh, which slightly improved on Saturday to Rs 40 lakh, and closed Sunday with Rs 60 lakh, stated a report on sacnilk.com. While this shows some weekend momentum, the film failed to cross the Rs 1 crore mark on any single day ?a steep decline from earlier performances and more than a 50% drop compared to the previous week.
Sikandar Movie Review

In opening week, Sikandar seemed poised to be a box office win, amassing approximately Rs 90 crore. The second week saw a considerable dip but still pulled in a respectable Rs 17.55 crore. However, the third weekend’s numbers indicate the film could just be on its way out if it fails to keep up the momentum.
Meanwhile, according to the film's production house, the movie has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark. In a social media post on April 8, the production house shared that the Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has hit the Rs 200 crore mark at the global box office.
Industry analysts are pointing to the release of Jaat, Sunny Deol’s latest action thriller, as a key reason for Sikandar’s diminishing audience. Jaat debuted a day earlier than expected, opening on a Thursday and raking in an impressive Rs 40 crore over its first weekend. Although it hasn’t yet matched the phenomenal success of Deol’s previous hit Gadar 2, Jaat appears to have struck a chord with viewers, pulling audiences away from Sikandar.

With footfalls continuing to decline and new releases lining up for their theatrical release, Sikandar now faces a steep uphill battle to extend its theatrical run. Whether the film can recover or if its fate is sealed remains to be seen, but the third-weekend figures suggest the buzz has all but faded.
Based on recent trends, the film is likely to make its way from the big screens to OTT within six to eight weeks. Despite Sikandar's performance, reports suggest that it would likely follow the route and be available between May 11 and May 25.
According to reports, Sikandar is now among Salman Khan's worst-performing films to date.
