The film's future hinges on its third-weekend performance to avoid becoming one of Salman's lowest-grossing films.
'Sikandar' box office collection Day 12: Salman Khan starrer sees earnings dip under Rs 1 crore; faces stiff competition from Sunny Deol's 'Jaat'
Salman Khan's latest action entertainer Sikandar has completed its second week at the box office, however, it did so, on an all-time low. The film released on March 30, saw its box office collections dip under Rs 1 crore for the first time, according to early estimates on Ssacnilk.com.
The film reportedly experienced a noticeable drop in momentum as it headed into its 12th day. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Sikandar earned approximately Rs 75 lakh on Thursday, marking one of its lowest single-day collections so far. This sharp dip in earnings came after the film collected an impressive Rs 90.25 crore in its first week, with the second week adding an estimated Rs 17.6 crore to the tally.
The film reportedly earned an estimated total net collection of Rs 107.85 crore.

Do you think Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' will recover its box office performance in the coming weeks?

While Sikandar had a strong opening and benefitted from Eid festivities and Salman Khan’s massive fan base, the buzz appears to have slowed considerably heading into its third weekend. Competition from newer releases like the Sunny Deol starrer 'Jaat' has also reportedly eaten into the film's box office business. The action movie which debuted in cinemas on Thursday, earned an estimated Rs 10 crore on Day 1 at the box office.
Directed by AR Murugadoss and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar was positioned as a mass-market action entertainer, packed with high-octane sequences. The film’s music and action choreography were widely appreciated, but critics gave the screenplay and emotional depth mixed reviews. This mixed word-of-mouth may have contributed to the decline in weekday footfalls.
With Rs 107.85 crore in the bag, the film still stands as one of the better performers of the year. However, its ability to maintain momentum into the third week will now depend heavily on the weekend numbers and whether the film can lure in the masses or if it will have to bow out of the box office race as one of Salman's lowest-performing films in recent time.
