Sunny Deol starrer 'Jaat' is getting some rave reviews at it released in theatres on Thursday. This is Sunny's release after the huge success of 'Gadar 2 which crossed Rs 500 crore at the box office and broke several records. Of course, the expectations from 'Jaat' were high because of that. While one cannot expect the film to go to that level, it has managed to have a great start as it collected Rs 9.5 crore on day 1.
Jaat Movie Review
The film is doing well in the northern regions of course due to Sunny's presence. However, in the south regions, it's facing a tough competition from Ajith Kumar's 'Good Bad Ugly'. The film made Rs 28.5 crore on day 1 which is Thursday. And it will hold well even on day 2. Meanwhile, after minting Rs 9.5 crore on day 1, on day 2, till the evening shows, the Sunny Deol starrer had made Rs 3.88 crore. According to Sacnilk, the total collection of the movie so far is Rs
13.38
crore.
It can be expected to have the same number as Day 1 or the night shows on Friday may even have better numbers due to holiday on Saturday. If the word of mouth remains strong, 'Jaat' can see a jump in the numbers over the weekend. According to Box Office India, the film should have been pushed to atleast Rs 10 crore on the opening day. But the numbers from Mumbai circuit is the let down as both Maharashtra and Gujarat see dull collections.
