TIRUPATI: The Sri Balaji Arogya Varaprasadini scheme (SVIMS), managed by the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), received a donation of Rs 1 crore on Friday.
Enertech Comnet Pvt Ltd Chairman, A.V. Ramana Raju, handed over his donation in the form of a demand draft to TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu in the presence of Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at Tirumala.
Speaking to reporters, the TTD Chairman stated that the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), established and managed by the Tirupati trust, was providing world-class healthcare services to the poor and downtrodden free of cost.
He further added that the TTD had requested the Union Government to grant the Institute of National Importance status to SVIMS to further enhance its healthcare outreach.
