CM directs deportation of Pak visa holders post-Pahalgam attack
Bhopal: Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, CM Mohan Yadav on Saturday convened a review meeting to assess the law and order situation in the state. He directed the strict implementation of Union home ministry's guidelines, particularly focusing on identifying Pakistani visa holders, and ensuring their deportation from the state.
Yadav also stressed the need for enhanced security for Jammu and Kashmir students studying in the state, and asked educational institutions across the state to closely monitor the situtation.
Besides, the CM urged vigilance over social media platforms, instructing police to counter misleading information swiftly and accurately. Ysadav reiterated that social media cells in every district would play a key role in monitoring content and ensuring public safety.
If any misleading information is found circulating, it should be immediately countered and the public should be informed with accurate details.
Yadav said MP has taken a positive step by issuing necessary directives for ensuring due respect to elected public representatives. These instructions were framed earlier in accordance with established protocols during previous governments, but their proper compliance was sometimes neglected knowingly or unknowingly.
Fresh directives have now been issued to enforce these arrangements effectively. Yadav emphasised that both tradition and rules mandate due respect for public representatives. The state govt is seriously committed to ensuring strict adherence to these norms.
