‘Future Force’ Boot Camp: BJP scouts young professionals with non-political background
Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Saturday inaugurated a two-day "I Am BJP Future Force" boot camp at the party state headquarters here on Saturday, aimed at inducting 125 professionals and young intellectuals from diverse fields into the ruling party. None of the invited participants, including doctors, engineers, and IT experts, come from political families.
Addressing the gathering, Yadav said after a thousand years of slavery, the country gained Independence in 1947, and the Somnath temple was rebuilt with public contributions. However, he accused former PM Jawaharlal Nehru of refusing to inaugurate the temple for the sake of vote-bank politics, claiming Nehru sidelined the country's moral values and Sanatan culture.
"All of you entrepreneurs and professionals should work as public servants to protect democracy. To ensure the development of districts in a better way, entrepreneurs and professionals will also be included in the development committees formed in the districts," the chief minister said.
The BJP state president and Khajuraho MP, VD Sharma, said PM Narendra Modi wants the participation of young professionals in the process of governance and policy making. This two-day boot camp is a step in this direction.
While introducing the policies of the BJP to the participants, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Hitanand Sharma said the party was born based on ideas and for the workers, the nation has always come as a priority.
The CM said: "There used to be kings in earlier times. The rule was in the hands of one person and if the king was defeated, the whole country used to get captured. Prithviraj Chauhan was the last emperor of India before we lost our independence. But the system of governance in ancient India was remarkable."
He argued that the invaders ruled over the people, looted India and left. "The true power of democracy should lie with the people. Therefore, to protect democracy, PM Modi has called for ending nepotism in politics and bringing one lakh such youth into politics whose families are not in politics yet," he said.
