Jhinjer hails Sukhbir’s appointment as SAD chief

Chandigarh: Youth Akali Dal president and Shiromani Akali Dal core committee member Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer on Saturday congratulated Sukhbir Singh Badal on his appointment as the head of the SAD. He said the move marked a proud moment for all the Punjabis and a crucial step towards restoring peace and development in the state.
Commenting on the current state of affairs, Jhinjer said: "Punjab is in crisis, law and order has collapsed, and conditions are worsening by the day. In such times, Punjab needs a strong, visionary leader. That's why Sukhbir Singh Badal's return to the party presidency was essential. Only under his leadership can Punjab and Punjabiat be truly safeguarded."
Describing him as a "vikas purush", Jhinjer said Sukhbir Singh Badal was the only leader capable of steering Punjab back towards growth and prosperity.
Hitting out at the AAP govt, Jhinjer said the ruling party's hollow promises had pushed Punjab into unemployment, poverty, and crime. "To reclaim its rightful place, Punjab needs a stable and experienced hand. Shiromani Akali Dal stands shoulder to shoulder with every Punjabi in this mission and will always continue to do so," he said.
The Youth Akali Dal leader further said despite the efforts made by the opposition parties to weaken the Akali Dal, they would never succeed.
Jhinjer announced that the Youth Akali Dal would extend a grand welcome to Sukhbir Badal during the ‘Baisakhi conference' at Sri Damdama Sahib on April 13. He also called on Punjab's youth to take ownership of the state's future and participate in the conference in large numbers.
