Chandigarh: Punjabi artist Sonia Mann, daughter of Kirti Kisan Union (KKU) leader Baldev Singh, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party officially, marking a new chapter in her social and political activism. The party inducted her on Sunday in the presence of its national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, and its state unit announced it later.
"Feel proud after AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal inducted me into the party today. Committed to work hard for the prosperity and progress of Punjab and its residents," Sonia wrote in a post on X.
She played an active role in the farmers' agitation of Delhi and has long been into social service. "She raises key social and political issues through social media frequently," AAP said in a press release.
