NEW DELHI: AIADMK general secretary and former Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has participated in the viral Studio Ghibili trend by sharing animated versions of his memorable moments on Monday.
The AI-powered image generation feature was developed by ChatGPT, OpenAI's popular chatbot.

The trend has attracted prominent figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
"From the heart of #TamilNadu to the world of #StudioGhibli - blending some of my most memorable moments with timeless art.#GhibliTrend @AIADMKOfficial," Palaniswami posted on X.
The Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition shared animated images depicting his public interactions, which included scenes with farmers and farm workers in a field.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also embraced the trend when the Union government shared AI-generated portraits reimagining key moments from his tenure in Japanese animation style.

"Main character? No. He's the whole storyline. Experience New India in Studio Ghibli strokes," read the government's post on X.
The collection featured AI-crafted images of Modi's meetings with world leaders like US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron. It included pictures of him in an Indian Army uniform, holding the Tricolour, and standing before the 'Sengol' sceptre in the new Parliament.
The series also showcased Modi's sortie in a Tejas Twin Seat Light Combat Aircraft, his presence next to a Vande Bharat train, his Maldives visit, and participation in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan cleanliness drive.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor also participated in the trend with his own AI-generated Ghibli versions.
"I've been assimilated into the Ghibli trend! These are pics sent by my supporters and well-wishers. Didn't even know what Ghibli was till now, but consider me officially Spirited Away by this newfound revelation," Tharoor posted on X.
The AI-generated pictures have become widely popular on social media. Users can create visual art using the Text to Image feature, where they input text and let Ghibli Diffusion transform it into artwork resembling Studio Ghibli's distinctive style.
Studio Ghibli's art style is characterized by soft colors, small details, and a dreamy appearance.
