Two dead, one injured as wall collapses in Dharwad

Dharwad: Two construction workers were killed and another injured when the wall of an under-construction factory building collapsed Tuesday evening.
The incident was reported from Kadanakoppa village in Kalghatgi taluk of Dharwad district. The deceased have been identified as Dawood Savanur, 52, and Rafeeq Channapur, 50, both residents of Old Hubballi. Mahantesh Chavaragudd of Anchatageri in Hubballi taluk, who sustained injuries, is undergoing treatment at KMC-RI.
Kalghtagi police said the three workers had taken shelter near the wall of an under-construction factory building when it rained heavily. The wall collapsed due to gusty winds and heavy rains and the workers were trapped under the debris.
Kalghatagi police have registered a case.
