Jaipur: State govt Tuesday told
Rajasthan High Court that it wants to take action against every single person involved in sub-inspector recruitment paper leak case of 2021 following a thorough probe into the matter. The aim, the govt said, is to ensure that all individuals involved in the leak should be debarred from appearing in other exams, and that if they are already employed, their services should be terminated. The govt also said it does not want those not part of the conspiracy to be treated as criminals.
The bench of Justice Sameer Jain asked the state govt why the govt did not believe that the sanctity of the entire exam was vitiated, especially since the agency conducting the recruitment exam leaked the paper 35 days ahead of the exam.
In response, additional advocate general (AAG) Vigyan Shah, representing the state govt, said, "This cannot be the sole ground for cancelling the whole recruitment process, as our job is to find who the criminals in this case are and who all were genuine in the examination process."
Shah also said the govt wants to take strong action against the criminals. "We are aiming at taking strong action against the criminals. If the recruitment is cancelled at this stage, then even those who did not commit the crime will be considered criminals. The govt wants to take action against the criminals first," Shah added.
Petitioners' advocate Harendra Neel said since the SOG chief, advocate general, and cabinet sub-committee had recommended that the paper be cancelled, the govt should declare the exam null and void.
