Son hangs self after dad ends life in Hwh

Howrah: A twin suicide took place in Howrah's Belur area on Saturday morning. When 76-year-old Subhash Pal was found hanging from a tree near his house at Thakuran locality by morning walkers, his 37-year-old son Ajit Pal — who works in a senior position in a private concern — locked himself up in a room upon learning about the incident and also died by hanging.
Subhash's wife had succumbed to cancer about 18 months ago. When neighbours got no response from Ajit despite repeated attempts made to contact him, they alerted police. Later, cops found Ajit hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. However, no suicide notes were found at the scene.

DC (north) of Howrah City Police, Bishop Sarkar, said initial probe indicate that Ajit took his life upon learning about his father's death.Locals said the father-son duo often disagreed over cooking duties despite sharing a close bond. They claimed to have about such disagreement on Friday night.
